The Bible Book of the Month Club the Gospel of Mark —Mark 4:1-25

Today is Mark 4:1-25 ❤️🙌🔥 for the “Bible Book of the Month Club — The Gospel of Mark”

“The farmer sows the word…” verse 13

Jesus tells a parable about how our hearts receive the Word. Some hearts don’t receive the Word at all. Some hearts receive it, but only last a little while. Some take the Word in and it starts to grow in them but worries and desires for other things choke out it’s growth. Then others receive the Word they take it in, hold onto it, and believe it. To these people the Word is precious. It is their desire morning, day, and night. These are the ones who see it producing good crops (results) in their lives!

Is your heart unreceptive…rocky? Is your heart full of worries and desires that choke the Word out of your life… weedy? Or is your heart tender and receptive to what God wants to speak to you in His Word… good soil?

We are assured, “the farmer (God) sows the Word.” How will we receive it?

What is God showing you today? Post it below. 👇 👇👇

(Tomorrow we read Mark 4:26-41)

  1. I’m a mixture right now. I love love love getting into reading Gods word but then worries it’s not for other things but his word to come to pass I get worried I have been waiting on his answer for something very specific last 20 yrs. So I just need to trust in his timing I’ve been told.

    • Thanks for your reply! We have to remember that God is good! Everything He does is good and for our good! He cannot do anything but good because that is His very nature.
When we see Him as He is, good, we will start to experience His goodness in every circumstance. If our situations are not what we desire, we can still trust Him to be working everything out for our good (Romans 8:28) and for His glory! All the things we go through and experience in life are filtered through His goodness towards us. We can trust Him that even if we do not get the things we desired here on earth, it was because God, out of His goodness towards us, had a better plan for us. We can trust that we may not experience all the answers we desired here, but in heaven we will understand and know fully His goodness towards us.
Praying for you to know and experience God’s goodness in every area of your life and that you can truly trust Him entirely, totally, and completely. This is where you and I will find peace and contentment as we experience His goodness towards us.

      • amen! I was also told that too by another person. Not sure what I was desiring with that but I do want Gods will for my life for sure.
